Wooden Volkswagen Beetle is more than just a car, its a work of art.

Fifty-three-year old Momir Bojic, a Bosnian Serb, spent a year of his life dressing his 37-year-old car in oak wood. And by dressing, we mean completely wrapping it in wood, from the wheel caps right up to the number plate support.

At 9,000 pieces, Momir thought it over and said to himself, “Yeah, this could use another 41,000 more.” Of course he didn’t completely cover the headlights and brake lights, but otherwise this was a maniacally thorough job. He even varnished it, just in case some jerkbag wanted to come by and nitpick at this obsessive act of awesomeness.

Built as a car for the masses, the VW Beetle has become an icon and has become one of Europe’s most famous cars.
People’s passion for the Beetle truly comes in all shapes, sizes and now Momir’s wooden Volkswagen Beetle can join in the fun.

Recently, Bojic started a show on his own on the streets of Banja Luka, where he parked the vehicle. And, as bling bling as the idea might have seemed at first, the crowds that gathered around it have been mesmerized by the brown, warm bug.
